Wireframing saves time, money, and resources.

You wouldn’t build a house without a blueprint, so why would you build a website without a wireframe?

Once you’ve surveyed user needs, creating a wireframe is the next step to creating an effective digital product.

Wireframing puts usability front and center.

Without wireframing, the digital design process can be frustrating and cumbersome. Clients want to experience the finished product as soon as possible but cannot often anticipate user interface issues. This lack of foresight can result in delays, changes, frustration, and increased costs.

Wireframing allows the client to visualize the structure, clarify interface features, and most importantly, allows the technical team to make changes quickly and cheaply before production. Websites and apps are significant investments. Why not test drive them first?

I am experienced with designing wireframes for a myriad of digital platforms.

Sometimes a developer requests a more detailed wireframe using existing styling as in the case of our Forages ID project, where the final design matches the original wireframe.

Explore a few more of my more basic wireframes below.

MP-144
The MP-144 web application is an interactive, mobile-friendly solution that replaces a cumbersome PDF document. Farmers have used MP-144 to get up-to-date pesticide recommendations for crops for decades. Data that was previously accessible only from a PDF file is now interactive and usable on mobile devices.

AIMS mobile website (public access is restricted)
The project was to create a mobile version of our internal AIMS reporting system. I worked with sketches first, then moved into more developed wireframes. The developer on this project requested more detailed wireframes than standard low-fidelity designs.

Hort Plants Tree ID
Previously an iPhone app, the Hort Plants project is in the beginning stages of development as a web-based application. I have experience using Adobe XD to create interactive wireframes such as this for testing before development.

Rural Profile (in production)
The Rural Profile web application collects Arkansas data on subjects ranging from population change to healthcare. Legislators would use the app to sort by county and district to inform themselves of the need for funding in distressed counties when passing budgets.

A wireframe is the first real process for a project. It turns the abstract ideas into something tangible without distraction.
