Colleagues expressed a need to mass-communicate with clients who are not on social media nor are they reliably checking email. All of these clients, regardless of age or demographics, DO reliably check their texts. Agents also needed a way to report direct contacts for their federal effort data, and their phones simply couldn’t track that data.

How I added group texting to our digital marketing arsenal.

I researched and implemented a new group texting feature for Extension employees called EZ Texting and SlickText. Additionally, I created a presentation and software documentation walking agents and specialists through the process of texting their clients. The process has been well received, and hundreds of clients have already participated.

Since seventy four percent of consumers are reporting zero unread text messages, the idea of an overflowing text inbox akin to email is virtually unheard of. Texting is conversational, and feels more human and personal than email.
